Assessment

As with The AMEB

  • "A" ratings confirm an excellent understanding of the grade level. (85-100%)
  • "B" ratings confirm a good understanding of the grade level. (75-84%)
  • "C" ratings confirm a slower ability to cope with the grade level. (65-74%)
  • "D" ratings confirm that the student is not coping with the grade level. (64% or under).

Note: It's a rare occurrence if a student receives a "C" or "D" rating, however they may be expected to repeat this test, especially if higher grades are planned for the future.

A presentation of “The AMTA Certificate of Excellence” will be issued to all students who gain a final rating of 85-100% (honors) and 75-84% (credit).

An AMTA pass certificate will also be awarded for students who attain a final 65-74% rating.

Revision Test

Option 1. For Grades 1-5, a revision test can become mandatory between Weeks 13 and 15. A minimum outcome of 75% is needed to proceed to the next grade level. Students may sit this test again until the 75% pass rate is achieved. The Grade 6 course, being longer in duration, takes place in Week 24. Option 2. This option is usually the preferred one. Instead of the mandatory test, students may opt to work at past AMEB Examination Papers, which we will correct. This decision can be made later on.

Delays

For all unavoidable delays such as those listed below, school-based students will need to contact their teacher immediately.
  • Any prolonged sickness.
  • School camps.
  • Work Experience.
  • Note: This won't apply for private students.
